The long bodied plugs wont hurt anything. The extra length is above the taper, it will still seat flush. They are great in weird weather conditions like cold and humid. They can really help the idle on a temperamental motor.

Default 08 353 vs 3sct

hi guys,
parts like rod, P/S, crank are interchangable between the 353 and 3sct right?

actually what's the main differences between them?
will 3sct tuned be better than the normal 353?

cheers.

C7TGF's or the C7TF

also with the 7 it will be easier to find a sweet spot. and it will run alot smoother.

see posts below, the 353 is a higher rpm engine good for fast flowing tracks and the 3sct tune good bottom great for alot of stop start tracks but for club racers both engines will get you a win!
cheers

NOPE!

The 353 has a different crank with a different size crankpin. Therefore it also has a different conrod (#7602), which btw, is almost twice the price of the regular conrod (#7601) which is in all other .12 NR engines, including the 3SCT.

by the way, how does the 3sct Tuned stack up against the stock 353?

which pipe combo will be best for medium large track with a 70m straight?

The connecting rod on a 3sct and 353 are different. These are not interchangable

The SCT with the Max 2602 pipe and the longest gear will be ballistic, also on long straights.

The 2630 pipe is also good, but makes it a bit more thirsty..

plug wise the ones we should have got at are the C6TGF/C&TGF/C5TGF. if you can get the O'donnell 97's or run the C#TGF or the older C#TF.

by the way how is ur 3sct going, have you run it in, and if so can you turn it over by hand with the plug in it.

Mitchell
update I ran the 3sct in today with the #5 original plug and then put in the 6TGC and it idled unbelieveable!! and not to mention it ran ballistic but track run time with a 5fin header and 2630 was about 5.50 first time user I have to say that novarossi engines are really well engineered!
cheers

Hi everyone,

I have recently purchased two plus 12-3sct's from my lhs. I opened them for checking the internals, and;
saw some tiny spots on top of piston in both of them
a slight stratch on the side of the piston, and slightly gritty feel on the front bearing in one of them.

these things I have mentioned are very little, but I got nervous.
their production year is 2007.

Can they lead to an issue in future? Im going to use them in nationals this year.

Sorry for bad english...

thanks for the replies.
