My new Novarossi for nitro sedan is on the way. I'm new to gas and need opinions on the best way to break this engine in. I've heard lots of different ways. Thanks for any input.
Like you say, there are many ways and opinions but the concepts are similar;
Run first tanks very rich - Gas spitting out of exhaust pipe - keep temps at 80/90C first couple of tanks and 100 a few more; Let engine cool down between tanks to get temperature cycles through it.
When you actually run your car the first times make sure there's a lot of smoke comming out of the pipe... have fun going around some parking lot with some short bursts of speed making sure you got lots of smoke.
The worst thing that happened to me braking in an engine was forgetting to raise the antenna of the TX... The car ran away with that little new engine at a millon RPM'S
And me running after it like a fool...
