Hi Spy,
I thought you were running a JP. Goes to show that the STS is plenty fast. I just hope it's reliable and solid conrod wise as it seems to be sts's weak point.

I'll check it out next race. ( have to fix my front diff - after the few back flips i did

I just bought a used STS D28M off a guy, and it only has a quart of fuel through it. He had it in his HPI Savage and he used a roto start backplate. I am putting this engine in my truggy which I have set up for bump start. I see that STS sells a bump start engine but I can't find a bump start backplate to put on my engine. Does anyone know where to buy one or have a part number for the backplate?

Arrow i love STS!!

Hey there guys, I have been running a sts d12e for about a year now and it's been great. Only issue i have had with it is the o-rings behind the mid range needle leaked after a while. Nothing a $5 bag of o-rings didn't fix. So when i bought a buggy i had to get the sts d30m. It goes great but it just sounds like a motor bike. I am pretty sure the bearings are ok so i have no idea what it could be. Has anyone had similar problems? The temp, smoke, fuel ecconomy are all good it just sounds very loud.

Loud usually means either a loud pipe or an exhaust leak.

Arrow TORQUE PIPE

The pipe i am using is the VXR FIRE-T. The "T" stands for torque so maybe i might change pipes and see how it goes.

hi I run .21 engines

if this crank was in it, they just changed to putting these in
that's all, I think..
in general, black cranks are more hardened and more resistant
but opposite, they could eventualy break easier
