Default JP Racing To Polish Or Not?

JP sells a awesome polish stated for piston/head, but i was told buy a very reputable source thT YOU DO Noy clean the carbon off the piston head, and inside motor?if that holds true, whe i open my motors and want to polish in order to clean, am i limited to doing just the crankshaft?what else can saftlly be polished? and naturally cleaned off with denatured achohol when done, finished with a nice rebuilding oil..Thanks in advance

Your source is correct. No need to polish anything. Carbon is your friend,

so just shoot the inside of that jammie, with denatured and reoil,,good to go?Sounds alot easier!

clean it and retune so you dont build up carbon.

Any fuel with lots of castor is going to leave a carbon buildup no matter how you tune it.

The polish is good for one thing. Buffing up a lightly pitted head if you get some detonation.

not if you're using 50% VP racing nitro methane fuel for drag racing. Motors are spotless after a whole season!


road racing? no need polish/clean, you wont notice the difference.

Drag racing? yes, polish everything.
