Unhappy Ninja MRT .12 need help

Ive just put a brand new Ninja MRT in my car. Ive idled, it put on the track and now ive just started to put some tune into it. The engine just wont idle, it will idle then go to high revs an then die, ive got the idle right, when it idles its perfect but then when i take the glow warmer off it will be fine for about 10sec then go to high revs an die.

ive looked at the cd-rom that comes with it an it told me to check the exhaust, air filter, fuel lines, an glow plug ive replaced all that and its still doing it, iam thinking that its maybe loading up but that wouldnt explain why it revs really high at the end

Please help me

- check the glow plug u using, is it hot enough for the engine to hold the idle?

- check if ur idle hole opening too small and low end too lean?

- u might want to try open up the idle hole slightly bigger and rich abit more on the low end!

Default Glow Plug

I also own one of these motors, the non-tuned version. I have found that the best way to get a proper tune is to either have a Ninja glow plug or a novarossi glow plug. I have tried the O.S. plugs and I went through them like it was my job, but once I put in a nova plug the engine was easy to tune and reliable.

Hope this helps,

Since when Ninja and GRP are different engines? I thought GRP was a re-branded Ninja engine.

If a GRP plug doesn't leak in a Novarossi underhead does that mean a Novarossi plug will not leak in a GRP underhead???

No, it doesnt mean like that. Nova plugs only fit on Nova engines. Most of the other plugs can also fit on Nova engines.

One thing you should also try is checking your exhaust gaskets, i have an xray nt1 with an o.s 12tz and when the exhaust gasket is stuffed the engine wont idle properly.
