Interesting reading about the Nova plugs. I went through 3 in one morning. Then put an Odonnell plug in and that saw me through a whole club day and all the heats of the next club day 2 weeks later till i put a new one in for the fianl just to be safe.

A few others and myself use O'donnell plugs in our engines. Have never had a drama with them.

I wonder what kind of plugs the teamdrivers are using/getting, as a factory you do not want to have such issues loosing important races. I can imagine there are better plugs available for the teamdrivers.

Thanks, I m under the impression that these bearings do not last that long, is it true? If yes, with what brand of bearings do you guys replace it with?

Cheers, I'll try leaning the bottom end out a little, but I did notice if I accelerate more slowly after running around at half throttle for a while (up to wide open) it won't cut out but will blow a lot of smoke, so I guess it is just loading up. Apart from that it seems to be running quite nicely.

Is there anything that playing with the midrange needle can do to help this? Also, is there a default setting for this needle? I couldn't find it in the novarossi carb manual.

Also - for the sirio plugs, what's the equivalent to a C6-TGF in sirio?

We have been using only the original Nova Rossi bearings and the bearings last a while, we did try different brands and it won't last as long as the Novarossi's.

I'm not sure but I think that is a new change as I haven't seen one like that in person yet.

Noticed it had been run from the factory, some light scuff marks on the back plate, strange but we continued on.

On re assembly the engine felt tight, stripped it again and then put it back together again and it was fine. Never, ever had this before with a engine....

Engine was then run in, and it's been used for a race meeting with no real issues.

I guess time will tell if it's going to go wooshca...

No there are no holes on either the crankcase or the cooling head.
