Default What to clean the internals with?

I recently picked up a fairly new Novarossi 12-SCT off a club racer. It only has about 1 gallon through it.

I have stripped it down to inspect the internals (which all look great), however I noticed some dirt on the outside, so now I am paranoid, and what to give the inside a good flush to protect my investment.

i managed to strip everything except the bearings which I have left in there as they are too hard to remove and I do not want to cause any damage.

What techniques do people use? I was planning to flush heaps of methylated spirits (denatured alcohol) and use a compressor to blow it out. do you think the bearings left in there would be a problem?

one club racer said to flush it out with fuel.

Normal diesel fuel seems to work very well to clean engines inside and outside.

we boil our case and head in anti freez with the bearing's in it. then we clean the internals with break cleaner.

Same here except I use carb cleaner to clean the inside since it evaporates rather quickly.
