here is the max power 2649 on my mtx4r just so you can see,it also fits exactly the same way on my v-one rrr, serpent 720 and xray nt1...
if i try to push it back,in or out the joint seals will start to buckle,i also tried different mounting springs and even headers and always ends up touching the wheel no matter what.
this pipe is useless!!!!..too bad i dont smoke crack because thats all its good for.

How big is that front tire?? I have a couple of friends using the 2649 in their MTX4 without that problem.

You should not run 65mm front tires, unless you are using a 25T pulley, or have a 67mm rear tires.

My suggestion is, true down the front tire to 62.5mm - 63mm where it should be. And it should clear the pipe.

If not, try raising the pipe a bit.

Well, my friend has used it on his mtx4r...

But I have personally used it on the nt1. Never had any problems as long as the front tire was trued down to its size.

Hope this helps.

i think that if you move the pipe a little inwards closer to the radioplate maybe you wont have this problem even with new tires! What i see in the picture is that stinger exceeds the outside of the tire. I dont see any problem with that pipe. After all Xceed are 65mm, way too tall!

You have to see the sirio pipe mounted to a serpent

like i said earlier if i move it in (or any which way)the muffler to header connection and or header to engine seal will buckle.
i turned down my front tires to 61mm and its much better but i still dont like this pipe being 10mm longer than my novarossi pipes,no wonder max power came out with the new 2664 to replace this 2649,it shows maxpower knew of this pipe being too long.

You need to use the correct pipe hanger wire. Depending on your pipe and header size you will either need to use the long pipe wire hanger or the short one. The spring turns are reversed between the two. The pipe and header fits perfectly.

I'm not sure what is being done wrong but I have used that pipe on my nt1 and never had a problem. I did use the xray long muffler wire, but that was because the pipe was out too far from the chassis and the regular wire didn't reach. I also don't run 65mm front tires, so that might be where to start.

If you push the pipe in closer to the chassis, it bends at the header and you don't get a flush seal, but I think he said that already.
