I ran one of these engines with the Picco 2033 pipe and it was awesome. It ran for about 9 gallons and I rarely had a flame out. Bottom and mid power was great but it lacked on the top end compared to a Novarossi 35 plus 21. With a gearing change it can hold it's own with most stock engines.

thanks, so what you are saying is beside the Novarossi, this modded engine is a hair faster than a stock engine? how good is the Mega ZX-21 DSII+ then? which is the non-modded of this engine

sorry for all the questions, this is only my second engine purchase, my first was a RB S7C.

thanks again

Sorry my mistake, I ran a stock DSII+ not the modded one. The mod should be just as fast as a Novarossi 35 plus 21.

thanks quietstorm76, i've made up my mind and will get the EM version of the DSII+, i am not going to hold you responsible if this engine suck! haha...

as much as i want to get a 35 plus 21 or the 359, novarossi is just too expensive to maintain, the piston sleeve set cost as much as a new engine.

wish me luck with my new engine!

thanks again quietstorm76

Just leave the bottom rich and give it a good break-in and like Kamikaze said you won't be disappointed. Trust me.

Picco P9-R EVO-2. Check out Murnan Modified Motors for a modded one.
