Congratulations to Team Kamikaze Driver Steven Muller, he qualified 6th in the A main today at the Toys 4 tots race in Crystal Park on his 4th consecutive race with his 08' 720 powered by the JP P3L .12 Firstline engine, he have been qualifying in the A main since he drove the 720 with the JP P3L .12 Firstline engine, it clearly shows that the car and the engine combination is an A main contender.

Sorry for a silly question.

How does this engine compare to the OS TZ and Spec II?

Thanks.

I'd take the first line over the tz, I've never tried or seen a Spec II run so I don't know.

Much more hp everywhere than either OS

alittle harder to tune, not much

no carb isolator so the OS would hot restart better

I have owned all 3, I consider the JP the best deal going for someone looking to move up the ranks(expert). I prefer the os for a novice/sportsmen class, they have enough issues without worrying about tune or flameout restarts

When you are new/mid you aren't the greatest tuner so you get flameout's(engine dies during race) then you have to restart it hot, as it was just running. Engines with isolator carb (os)restart no problem, engines without (Nova/JP) sometimes have issues restarting especially if your tune was off to begin with...

Simply to resolve by splashing some fuel over the cooling head, within a few seconds the engine can be started again.

Keep a spray bottle of water handy if you are afraid of a fire. Use the water instead of the fuel.
