I’ve run the JLR for most of the year, and I like the engine. Its got a lot of torque, and with the right pipe it revs nicely. Overall, it’s a very good motor.
However, for the last 2 weekends I’ve used the JP First Line P3L Mod and I fell in love with it. With the 2630 pipe set the engine is like butter, its very responsive, but not in a peaky way. Its hard to describe, the throttle feels less like on/off switch. It pulls evenly from the bottom to the top, and the top end on it is amazing, my car was faster than anything else on the straight. I was even able to make 5 minutes, with about 2 laps worth of fuel left in the tank, on Maxy’s fuel. And I made my first A main with the engine, at the KO Propo Grand Prix.
For $30 more, I would get the JP over the JLR. I might get another one soon, so you want to place the order with Team Kamikaze before he runs out, I know there’s more people who wants them.

call Sam at Kamikazi he has them in stock "you got to try it, they are Fast!" I 1st owned 2 JL's, then 1 JP First Line and a MAX XXL3, and I am happy with my new engines.

i just bought a modded first line as a basic/training engine, and for the race engine i'm considering the xxl3, but i would like to know the speed difference, because for the price of the max i can buy two first line's.

the Max has great power low and top with loads of smoke at every coner exit. Not sure bout lap times but i know i can push the max motor alittle bit more then i been running them. You cant go wrong with either engine

You will be happy with the JP .12 P3L Black modified and as long as you pair it with the JP 2620 pipe set, then I'm sure you can keep up with the JP .12 Eagle TL-3T engine, the bottom line is that you won't be dissappointed, just think about runtime.

agreed, I Have the eagle with 2602 and my buddy has the jp black with 2602, dead even on the straight....Maybe with a 200' st. the eagle could out wind it

How reliable are these motors?

the eagle with the 2602 is crazy for runtime, I get 6 minutes every time. My buddy runs the eagle with the 2630 and has alittle more bottom but it's harder to tune and he get's 5 min exactly
