Default Tune pipe questions

Hi guys
I just wanted to clear some things up..

is a long pipe considered a torque pipe?
meaning i run taller gears for more top end?

Thanks

Yes, longer gives more torque, shorter gives more rpm. Manifolds are a better way to change lengths.

Scott i used to run the mugen efra 2501 pipe with my picco evo 3 now ive put on the picco 2607 and the pipe is about 20mm longer so the torque should be more

The two pipes you got there are the two absolute extremes:
2501 is THE rpm pipe
2607 is THE torque pipe

The difference should be night and day.

so...with rpm pipe should run shorter gears and torque pipe running taller gears?

in addition: a high rev engine shld use a torque pipe and vise versa?

all depends really i've used a 5 fin nova header with a nova 2630 on a max, and it was ok, but the crf pipe with long header felt better. some engines like weird combos you wouldn't normally consider. sometimes it pays to play around.
