The reason there is a choice is that the 5.2mm outlet is the maximum Leagle size for sanctioned racing!
The bigger outlets are used in outlaw racing classes as i think that there is no limit!(I think)

i got creative with stinger size or just plane board so i had an old pipe and drilled it out a little at a time. it started of with overal performance was better more torque and a little more mid so i keep going bigger and stoped about 6.6mm (i think its been awhile) sounded good but i took it to far lost my top end

Roar .12 = 5mm
Roar .12 outlaw = 5.2mm

Other than that, those are the only sizes you can go to.

Roar .15 = 5.2mm
Roar .15 Open = 6.5mm
Roar .21 Open = 8mm

The Outlaw Shark pipe has a 7mm stinger outlet from memory for 12 engines.

that's weird.. you're supposed to have more top end as the stinger size gets bigger..

it then gets to a point where you loose the back pressure resonance i thin due to the pipe being too open and not having enough pressure. I think this then ruins the pipes ressonance. only guessing
