Can someone shed a bit of light on the default needle settings for the CRF? 4 turns out on top is fine, but the instructions say the LSN is 5 turns out and then goes on to say that it is 47.9mm from the spray nozzle. 5 turns out is more like 49mm on my engine, so 47.9 is about 3.5 turns. I read a post in the orion CRF thread where nano said the stock LSN setting usually needs no adjustment, but this isnt really helpful when I don't know if it should be 5 turns or 47.9mm. I haven't touched the spray nozzle screw before anyone asks

Craig, best bet is to use the stock settings as outlined in the manual. start your engine and go from there tuning it on the track.

hey john, are you racing at summer nats? I'm trying to set it to the manual settings but it's confusing:

• To set the metering needle (CRF81315), follow this procedure :
- Maintain the carburator throttle fully opened (important to avoid possible damage).
- Fully tighten the metering needle.
- Unscrew the metering needle approximately 5 turns.
- Release the throttle.
• The distance from the end of the spray nozzle (CRF81321) and the end of the metering
screw (CRF81315) can be measured with a caliper to be approximately 47.9 mm
and 5 turns isn't 47.9mm... not on my engine anyway

ok nano says nothing about 5 turns so i'm rolling with 47.9

Big Screw, tighten all the way in, not too tigtht beware not to damage the o-ring. Then unscrew slightly to make the slot in the screw head perpendicular with the main needle holder. Then unscrew another 1.5 turns.

LSN, this one is set by measuring the distance from the big screw head to the LSN head with a caliper, as if you were measuring the full width of the carburator. You want to get around 47.5mm to 48mm width.

Questions?? Reducer (Cup-type) X312T !?!?!

Hello,

what kind of experiences you had by using the update CRF81348 ??? it is similar to CRF81358 "Big Reducer" ???

does it make sense to upgrade my motor ?
