Should I add a 0.1mm shim to bring it up to 0.028"?

Thanks
I suggest you add the the .10, or .15mm shim to run 30%. That is somewhere around .80-.85mm total shims. Also depends on the weather some.

The JL Red Dot .12 is in stock. The modified version is also in stock. The engine will be available to order on the website tomorrow. This engine is a beast, and no worries on gas mileage, or durability.

Hey Uriah,

Thank you for all your support at the Winternats. I am working with Bruckner to get some of your motors in stock. You really do great work, and you stand behind your products, that is very important. I will keep you posted.

Hi Uriah,
I didn't see the Modified JL Red Dot engine listed. What is the price for this engine? I am interested in purchasing one.

Hello, Mr Murnan

I would like to know if you have tested LRP engines like Z12R TEAM SPEC 2 or SPEC 3 ,

i am a distributor from Associated Electrics here in my country (Brazil) also for Jaco racing , so that is the reason that i use and race LRP engines on my races, i like the engine by the way a engine that you only have power on botton end rpm since you richen a lot the botton end needle .

so, can you made a good work on this engines, and how your feel about LRP Z12 engines

Thanks a lot,

Fabian Kaloustian

Hello Fabian

Picco makes the latest Picco .12 engine in several fashions.

Original Picco:
Picco Evo2
Picco Evo2 Edoardo Picco Modified (Factory Modified called Edo Tuned)
And now for 2007 the New Picco Evo3 in both fashions.

What you would call designer, or made under specs:
IDM Evo2
LRP Spec3
Ofna JLR Red Dot
Mega Zx DsII Plus
Trinity Drake Edition
Solaroli Evo2

Moded or Tuned:
WP Tuned Picco Evo2 (Italy)
MR Tuned Picco Evo2 (Spain)
Maxy Modified Mega ZX DS II Plus (USA)
Murnan Modified OFNA JLR Red Dot (USA)

There could be others, but this is what I know so far, and all of them are very powerfull and competent engines which incorporate new lighter cranks, new carb, new conrod, new piston/ sleeve, and new head button.

Not sure if the LRP Z12R Team Spec 3 has all of this changes, becaue I've never seen one inside. Can you post pictures of the dissambled engine to see if it is the same as the JLR Red Dot that Uriah Murnan does modify??, because if so he allready works on them.

AFM,

I see you know everything thanks about explanations

I will find the pictures that i have for my SPEC 3 inside and post here or LRP section(engine forum) , whatever you want

I know for sure that SPEC 3 is better (botton end, mid and high end power) than SPEC 2 I race LRP engines since the spec 1
the differences that i see lrp spec 2 to spec 3 are;

the top of the sleeve is longer ,to compensate, the burning room is also longer (inside ) to maintain same clearence- same head shims
the cranckshaft has black anodized on some parts with minor modifications

I do not know about timing if had changed

the conrod has two small risks on inside botton side like megas

the coolong head is little diferent

and back plate also

Maybe i forgot something but......

Thanks

Fabian
