Any news on the rumour of Kyosho team drivers using CRF engines? Looks like they are dropping Sirio

Our whether is:

Temperature Day time from 32 to 38 C
Humidity from 70 to 90%

What will be the head shim size I should be using, we race in a aspahlt Parking lot track, medium traction, the late out we are using at the moment is very fast, only two tide turns.

Thanks

Hi. You will need to add one .1mm shim to the engine for those conditions. Use a # 7 hot plug. Then it will be ready to rip.

I tested the engine this week end with the additional .1mm shim and #7 hot Plug, the engine setting was, 2.5 turns in the short needle and 4.75 in the Long Needle, the engine was very fast, but more than that the temperature was in about 235 with top in the final of 256 F, the tank will last about a little bit more than 5 minutes, I could turn the needle (long) to 4.5 and the temperature will go to 272 F the tank will last 5.5 minutes or more, so I think the 4.75 turns is more than perfect, and the speed of the engine was uncontrollable.

The engine has more to give I'm running my engine with the HSN at 3.5 turns out and the LSN at 2.5 turns out. My running temps ranges from 260F to 280F. I'm using 25% Tornado Racing fuel. The engine still wants to go faster. Run time is just a little bit over 6mins.. I'm using the Nova 2630 pipe with 6 fins By the way, I also tried to run the engine with temps between 220F to 240F like I ran my OSSpeed. The engine doesn't perform that well. In my opinion, Nova made there new engines with fewer fins in the cooling head to make in run hot and perform it's best Just my 2 cents

My Problem with going to lower than 4.5 is that I will not make the 5 minutes, could be the fuel I am using (only option in Panama) Trinity 25%, our temperature is 38C, with a low Humidity of 70% because we are in summer in winter is 90%, I am using the same pipe with 6 fins, I was faster than any one in the track.

Well, you can try to close you HSN as you get more run time with you engine. With the HSN closed, your fuel mileage will improve
