Yes we are, but had to terminate a contract on 7 acres of land after 5 months of environmental studies, and alot of money, but we are still on the grind, looking for that right location and the right zoning.

Default Converting a 5-porter into 3?

Hi Guys,

need to ask you engine gurus out there a question.

To convert a 5-port engine, say a nova LL5 into a LL3, is it as simple as just changing the piston and sleeve? or is there other mechanics that i got watch out for .. for eg, the crank shaft etc etc..

i mean taking into consideration of the engine timing of the 5-ports and the 3-ports and the rocket science stuffs like that.

thanks in advance

Yes, it is as simple as changing the piston and sleeve. As long as it is the same stroke engine. LS3 will not work in LL3, but LL5 will work in LL3.Novarossi 5 port crankshafts are better than the 3 port version.

I forgot about my touring car when I started driving my 1/8th scale. It's the best. So what did it look like after the wall?

Thank you grinder.

Another question, right now i have a 5-port Max S5 engine. If i have to change it to a 3-port, i will just have to get a 3-port Max sleeve and piston right?

In the case where my LHS does not have the parts, what other alternative (brands, model) of 3-port sleeve n piston that will work with the Max S5 engine?

Man you don't want to know, I did twice, chassis broke in half, motor shifted to the front and almost off all 4 front hinge pins were bent, 4 fins on the head bent, but it was alot of fun, end of the season and I had nothing better to do, plus I was going to rebuild the entire car and use the skyline chassis,BTW have you or anyone used that chassis, and what should I expect.
