They are both very fast. The virtus has a very slight edge in power.

I would go with the Picco for the extra runtime. The virtus is thirsty compared to the Picco, and can have trouble making 5 minutes sometimes. The virtus, and Picco are matched in the power department. The virtus piston sleeve will last longer, however the Picco is substantially cheaper. Both are great engines.

Just wanted to say thanks for such a great engine!! My MM Nova PTS gave me great power and runtime last weekend! I was able to TQ and win the first race of our River City series at Speedworld Raceway with it.

Thanks Uriah!

Default US Open

Congratulations to Murnan Modified team drivers at the US Open at K Raceway.

We were able to get 4 Murnan Modified engines in the sedan A main at the 2013 US Open.

Drew Q. Murnan RB
Demetrius Blount. Murnan Novarossi
Melvin Aulston. Murnan Maxpower.

I used the RBM3 Balanced Engine. The engine coupled with VP Powermaster 16% nitro fuel offered a potent combination of power, and runtime. I had plenty of power, and the 5:30 pit window actually gave me an advantage over my rivals allowing me to take second place.

Thanks to George Martinez, and his crew for making it a great race. Your hard work is appreciated. Can't wait to come back.

Thanks to VP Powermaster for the great fuel, Matrix USA for the great tires, and Bill McLean for the awesome pit work!

Hey Grinder, I know this is an old post of your's, almost 2 years old, (7/27/2011) but are you saying you add oil to 16 or 20% nitro or are you saying you add oil till you get 16 or 20% total oil? Thanks

I add oil to 16-20% nitro. Anywhere from 12% to 16% oil is good for initial break in. Nitro content is not important.

For final breakin when nearing a race tune, you should go to the fuel you will race with. The high oil content in the breakin fuel can cause tuning issues.

To have a motor worked on, can it be sent in already broken in or does it need to have a new p/s/r

If the engine has only been broken in its fine. How much fuel has been run through the engine? Which engine is it? You can send the engine in, then I can let you know for sure.
