What are you guys running for plugs in the 12+3mmm?
I've always had good luck with RB-5 in other nova's. Have dozen left.
Grinder whats your recomendation? There is so many different letter codes in nova plugs.

You can run the RB #5 plugs no problem. We normally run Novarossi #6, sometimes #5's. Sometimes #7's too. They will all work, they will just require a little different tune.

Sorry, another stupid question.

I am very keen to try the MM motors but I don't know which to pick. I currently run the .12OS TZ 3 and 5 port on my NT1.

Does anyone has any recommendations on what I should upgrade to?

The nova's tune easyer. I think its a better carb. But pricey.
The picco can drive a person crazy getting it tuned right. But it makes good power at an attactive price.

Does anyone know if Uriah is on holidays or away racing? I sent him a couple of emails a few days ago still with no reply?

Thanks

Michael.

I just did this with uriah. If you didn't ask for it to be shimmed for a specific nitro percentage then its as shimmed from the factory for 16% nitro. A couple of pages back on this thread there is head shimming instructions. I am going to run 20% with my 12-3sct with the stock shim package.

Hi. The short needle will give you a smoother powerband with less fuel consumption. The blunt needle will be more aggressive, and drink more fuel. There is also another fuel inlet nipple for the carb that is bigger, that will of course will add power at the expense of fuel consumption.

Hi. The engine is ready for up to 20% nitro with the stock clearance. Normally we use 16-20% in our .12 engines, and have plenty of power. If you have to use something like 25% you should add one .1mm head shim. If you want to run 30% you should add .2mm of head shims.

Personally I use Rocket Science fuel, I feel it offers the best protection against wearing out the engine internals. Although it is a little more difficult to break in an engine using Rocket Science.
