Default new motor

do all the carburators go in so tight? hopefully i didn't mess up the low end needle, because the idle screw was set to low and when i was holding the slide closed it (the low end needle) was pushing into the brass seat and may have damaged it. I guess I'll see when i tune it. I've never had another carb go in that tight before. Let me know thanks

The carbs go in tight. they are composite with a small piece of aluminum protruding from the base. We usually take a piece of fine emery paper or wet/dry sand paper and lightly smooth it down a bit if the fit is to tight. Then it should work down into the case fine with no resistance. That is what we have done in the past with them and have had good luck. Also there are some of the pinch bolts that do not allow the carb to tighten all the way. We remove a bit of the end material that faces each other and then the carb tightens fine. We usually remove about 1/2 mil.

I will take the TQ that Ryan got at the race and also how well Mark and chris also did at the race. I am glad to see that the motors are working out well now. And it is good to see that you guys are happy with the motors. Thanks

These motors are awsome folks, ive just recently started to run these engines and im amazed how fast they are! If you are in the market for a New Engine you have got to try these! My opinion the best engines on the market!

I must say that after some time and observing the engines that there must be major differences in the Red Dot and the IDM EVO3 since most people that I have spoken with have had carb issues and having leaks and using additional sealants to stop the leak. The IDM EVO3 does not leak and has just about matched up in my views with all engines on the track.

With the 2607 pipe it has performed well no complaints here. The season opened up but I have not run yet first race out just making sure the club issues went over well next race I will break in and get to test and tune and see how the engine recovery and the switch to the new fuel will be.
