I'm new to all this nitro lark and have a Hyper 7 with the standard engine.

Now, when I start the car it just revs like mad and I just cannot seem to be able to set the idle correctly - so I have to turn the engine off and turn something else and hope for the best.

What do I do because its driving me mad - I bought the car 2nd hand by the way.

Please help me with some base settings just to get the thing started.

Unscrew the idle screw to turn the idle down and also screw out the low speed needle to richen it some.
Take off the air filter and see the gap that remains open when the throttle is fully closed from the servo-arm.
You should see about 1mm opening.

If you find its not a tuning issue then check the following

Back plate is sealed and tight

Carb may be faulty .. put long piece of fuel tube on carb
place carb into water bowl with fingers over inlet and outlet
blow into carb..

You should not see any bubbles , if you do then you may have a problem

You can have some dirt in the carb, possibly in the HSN

Your Radio Throttle adjustment is out
