Thanks for the tip, I put the silicone tube without the lip and it does seem to fit better, I will run the engine and see how it runs. I was having issues with the original seal with lip that came with the engine.

what is the stock setting on the bottom end for the evo 3?

I am not sure of the stock setting but I am still breaking in my engine and I have HSN set to 6 and LSN 4.

ATleast you get to break in yours....mine is still sitting in the car awaiting its break in. Also, need new bearings for the clutch bell as well (not the thrust bearings).

What happened with your bearings? are they going bad?

hey Sam,

is there anything special that I should know about changing the crankcase on an evo 3?I had a small crack in the tip/clutch end and it needed replacing, also i have noticed a small metal shaving on one of the ports on the piston is this ok as its just on the inner edge of the port?

There is nothing special when changing crankcases, the JL2 and the JL EVO 3 had the same crankcase, I did not understand regarding your question about the metal shaving, on the piston ?
