I have seen Josh race for a long time and when I was at the 1/10 Gas Worlds in Brazil I was wowed with the way he and Bertin destroyed the field and how close they were racing while going that fast.

I got a whole new respect for him after that.

Please just watch this videos and please make sure you use speakers to hear engines behavior. Those are verrrrrryyyyyyyyyy powerfull motors but powerband range moved. If any questions-let's talk.

Please pay attention how both pilots pull airplane by control line to help engine to jump limit line of of power band where engine has no torq till sirtain RPM, then motors do their work.
CorsR-Luis Paramon is from Spain and he is one of the best pilot in the world for last 12 years

Default GLOW PLUGS

Nano

On the new web site they print the plugs like this:

ORI88825 CRF Turbo Plug 5 COLD ???
ORI88826 CRF Turbo Plug 6 MEDIUM
ORI88827 CRF Turbo Plug 7 HOT ???

I'm confused ??? shouldn't the higher number be the coldest??? or in this item Orion also makes a difference....????

Josh,

Which pipe set would you recommend for a 80x150ft track with low to medium grip. Please keep in mind that the car I am running needs its 1st gear to be gear about .2FDR lower than a Kyosho for comparable bottom end performance and the lowest 1st gear ratio I can run is an 8.17. I am aware that I could run smaller tires to give me more torq but I have found that a rear tire below 58mm handles poorly on my chassis.

Mark

Also is the only difference between the small and med track pipe sets the pipe or does the header also change?

rmdhawaii - Already been done...

SCIDA - Yep, just learning some basics... Gearing, clutch set-ups...etc... This weekend I'm going back to test pipes and headers so I have a better idea going into the Nats.

Everyone else - thanks for the kind words.

Edward - No offence, but this is an Orion/CRF Engine thread. Please keep comments relevent to the topic - we don't go posting electric motor videos on the Axial or Palarmis threads.... Respect needs to travel both ways.

afm - I think that means operating temperature but I will check to be sure - I think it's listed backwards from normal which indicates the plug temp.

I have not tested this pipe specifically, however, I have a sample enroute now, and I will test it and post my results as soon as it arrives.

Stay tuned...

Share! Inquiring minds want to know! Were you running the EVO3 or STI? Was the average lap time difference less than 2 seconds or about 2/3 seconds?

A few RRR guys are contemplating getting the STI and have been asking me if they should get the WR instead. I don't know what to tell them.

rmd - Evo3.... I've never run the STI. Lap time was nearly identical but with the fuel milage difference I was 8 seconds faster over 30 minutes... Now that we are learning about the pipes, I expect the lap times to be faster with still keeping the fuel milage difference in tact... I'll know more after this weekend.
