Default Axial .28 for a LSP Pro-R Truggy?

What's everyone's thoughts on using an Axial .28 engine for a Hot Bodies Lightning Pro-R for this seasons races? Are Axial engines worth it? Better than STS? Is it good on fuel consumption? Or should I just go with a Mach 26 or other.... I would ultimately like to get a .21 V-Spec but it is just to much $$$$.
