Well if I'm gonna go for the Losi 454 then I'm going to upgrade it to a Turbo plug setup or are they already a turbo plug system?

Do you have a part number for the Fioroni system?

What are some alternatives for a clutch system as I am now working off a budget?

Forget making a 454 turbo (IMO).,

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Clutch-System

You could probably get a new 454 w/pipe*on ebay plus that clutch, a CB and a couple plugs for less than the price of the Picco.. Amain also has the OD plugs..

* The stock Losi RTR pipe is pretty good...

A lot of people like Picco, and I've liked the .21's I've had. I also like the LRP Spec 3/Losi 454 though, given they cost half as much... I know some people will say the Picco is faster and "better quality", and that may be true. It won't be twice as fast though..

I've had a bunch of LRP's though, so I'm keen to try a new Picco Boost. So that's why I said Picco.. For a basher truggy with a .28 I'd also get a Fioroni slider clutch..

For the money, Losi 454(closed backplate), JP-2 or JP-3(So far I REALLY like the 2047 too..) and the Fioroni clutch and you're sorted. Odonnell purple plugs..
Um I hate to tell you this but the 30x will stomp a 454 real bad. I have both . The 30 x is around 200 dollars.

Hmm.. for an extra $80.00 compared to the Losi 454, is it worth it?

I have both too. And the 30 won't "stomp" the .28 in a single-speed truggy.. The .28 has more top end. Maybe up a hill with the extra torque... But a .28 is excessive for a truggy as is... The .30 is a good engine, but not for 200 bucks.. If you want to spend that get the Picco...

Default Wich motor would be better for truggy?

I have a Mito 4 and a bullitt b220 comparable to the os speed b2101. I had a legend .25 motor from the nitro shop in it but shit happens and I ended up breaking off part of the skirt on the piston so theses are the motors I have to work with for now. So which one would u run in buggy and wich would u run in truggy?

I would say Mito 4 in buggy and the Bullitt in the truck.

What size tracks? How's the grip level? For some tracks, a 4 port might be just fine in truck. But if it were me, I'd run the b2101 in truck with a 2050 pipe.

Buggy: Mito 4 with a 9886 or 9901 pipe and a short, round header like the 41019 or 41033 conical. Bullitt B220 with a 2060 pipe. I've ordered a 2060 header for my 2090 pipe to try something (torque pipe/top-end header to tame the bottom). Also, the 9853 is also an amazing pipe on this engine again with a short header.

Truggy: Mito 4 with a 9853 or 2058 pipe and a square header like the 41001, 41005, or 41032 conical. Bullitt B220 with a 2050, 2090 or the 9853 with a square 41001/41005/41032 conical header

Both engines will work in either applications. They will work a little better if you pair them with the best pipe/header combination for the vehicle so you might make you choice based on the pipes/headers you have or want to buy.

You want to run the Bullitt engine in the truggy. 4-port for the buggy.

I'm sorry Sir, but recommending a Nova 4-port for use in a Truggy is just not on.
Typical nova 4-port characteristics is a weak delivery on the bottom end, which is great for buggy, but absolutely not what you want for a truggy.

I see your point and your right. The Bullitt would be the better choice for a truggy.
