Default Which glow igniter ?

Hey , I currently have the Dynamite lipo igniter that seems to let me down every time I go to track. LHS isn't really interested in warranty exchange so...

You guys that work on engines for a living and use them everyday , which igniter are you liking right now ?

hot shot is the most reliable on the market. if you want a glo meter, the associated has been the best I have found.

It appears you can charge the hot shot off of a charger with the right lead and charge it much faster than the wall charger , is that correct ?

best i ever had was a $5 smarttech from ebay with a 2300mah nicad batt, it wouldnt stay on the plug itself but would last days of use.
my protek i have now doesnt like to last an afternoon it has a 2100mah sub c cell so it should last longer must be a bad cell.

McDaniel/SonicTronics is the best on the market and it has a meter. The new ones come with a nimh battery but even the older nicad models couldn't be beat....

+1. My Dynamite one worked well to, but not with OS / Protek plugs.

Hey bud, if you haven't purchased one yet let me know. I have a good Hot Shot (spare) that I can drop in the mail for you. I owe you for the shipping delay on the speed towel.

Another one for the hotshot here. I have had most
TLR
Mugen (good but doesn't come with a battery and they are difficult to find)
AE
Racers edge
Dynamite
Lipo

Hotshot wins.

I will most likely be buying a hot shot 2 when I get into nitro this summer. My only question is is the long version necessary for 1/8 engines? Or does the standard version work fine?
