Which Engine? Help needed
not 100% happy with my current motor in buggy picco 5tr.
my friend drives jq the engine (os speed short stroke).
everytime i drive this engine, i really like it.
- powerful
- idles low all day
- spools up fast
- snappy on the bottom all well
- i like that stable idle and that feeling of a lean/snappy bottom
my driving style is really aggressive, thats why my engine temperatures are going pretty high usually.
the picco keeps changing itīs idle and bottom the longer itīs running.
7 min qualifier is totally different tune than 30 min main, that sucks. i need kind of a "on/off" engine, not so much tuning all the weekend.
any suggestions appreciated,
thanks,
pawel

I've heard those Piccos are super easy to tune? Sure a new engine will make a difference?
An engine is not just an engine.. The owner has a lot of influence on how any given engine performs. Or tunes..

Which pipe are you running on the Picco? I have run Picco's for the last couple years and your description of your friends is the way I would describe the TR in my truggy. I run the 2069 on the TR and it hangs with the OS engines all day. If your looking for something new the Triton L5 is a monster with the 2069 pipe.
