Lucky 7 air filters any good?

I have used Lucky 7 Losi style non-oiled filters for several years. I use Kal-guard filter oil on the inner filter only. I don't reuse the filters. I have never had a problem with premature engine wear. I tried the proteks when the Luckys were out of stock and had to lean my tune a little -- so that tells me they don't breath as well, and they seem like a more dense foam -- neither are bad.
I don't buy pre-oiled filters for two reason: I don't like oiled prefilters and I want to pick what oil to use.
I would run either filter but I prefer Lucky 7 because they come in bigger quantity (16) and come in a nice resealable plastic bag so they don't get dirty before I use them. I generally use 3 filters each race day - Practice, Quals and main.
