Default Piston/Sleeve sets interchangeable between engines

My question is in the title; can I take a piston, sleeve, and conrod assembly, from two identical engines and swap them between each other without any issues?

The reason I ask is I have a fusion X5L which has a broken conrod and a minor score in the sleeve. I have another X5L coming in the mail which is fully functional, and I'm hoping to just use the piston/sleeve assembly from that one in my original one.

Ask Monty to make sure but since they are both x5l I would not see any issues as I actually am running a x5l PSR in my x3L block and using the x3l crank. I also broke a piston on a Werks b2 and replaced it with a .21 piston and rod from an Orion 7 port engine I had while keeping the B2 sleeve and crank

Yes it will work.

If you have had a Conrod failure best to measure the crank pin change the bearings at the same time.

Cheers

Measure crankpin make sure it doesnt measure any smaller than 4.92mm anywhere on the pin

Regarding the p/s/r sets , any p/s/r set from any fusion will fit in any of the fusion x engines , same goes for cranks ,bearings and such

Thanks for the advice guys.

I'll be sure to measure the crank pin.

As for the bearings, they feel as smooth as they were from the factory, but I assume that's because they were replaced about 3 litres before the conrod failure. Should I still be replacing them or would it be OK?

Remove the bearings ,clean thoroughly ,reoil and reinstall

Things get trapped between the rear bearing and the block

If you are in any doubt replace them.

Avid ceramic rear and steel front bearings are not too expensive, replacing them is cheap insurance.

Cheers.
