Ideas and advice are greatly appreciated.
2021 is plenty of power for L5 in truggy and has better mileage and higher top end

When you say break in service, I assume Triton will break the engine in for you prior to shipping? Then all you have to do is race tune it? How much is this service?

First we clean the engine internals and apply a break in lube to all internal moving parts to avoid a "dry" start and protect the engine components on initial start-up. We pre-heat the engine and heat cycle the engine for 100cc of fuel. Then we run an additional 400cc of fuel with our computer controlled program genlty breaking in the engine at different rpm's in a smooth transitional pattern. Our break in fuel has an additional lube package added to provide better lubrication and protection during the break in process. A total of 500cc of fuel will be run through the engine. this saves hours of your time and 500cc of fuel. Some engines will require more break in even after this service. But the hardest initial part of break in is done for you.

It's at an affordable price of 50 bucks.

So what else as far as break in needs to be done? Thanks

On the Triton after the RCR break in you just need to run a conservative 3-4 tank while you dial in your tune and that's it.

The Triton pipes have changed and information is on the website.

But in a nutshell the 2108 replaced the 2099. the new 2108 is similar to 2099 but get a tick better mileage but kept its smooth powerband.

2034 replaced the 2120. the New 2034 has more bottom end power than the 2120 with better fuel economy.

Lance, just wanted say thanks for the awesome engine. I ran at the Lone Start Classic this weekend in Garland, TX with an L4 engine and 2099 pipe. Tons of power and was able to run 10 minutes before fuel stops. Really helped me in the 30 minutes main when everyone else had to stop 3 times for fuel and I only stopped for fuel twice! Finished 3rd too!. Thanks for the engine and the great service!

Are there any significant differences between fuel filter? Any recommendations for one? Thanks

Most do not run after market filters, it adds another place for a leak to happen. and tanks already have one in them.

But yes there are many types, some just use a metal screen, some use a white mesh and some use a stone filter. White Mesh and stone are better than the metal screen.

I finally got to race the L4 and 2099 combo yesterday at The Hobbyplex. The track was still the Jconcept nationals 1/10 layout. So it was tight and technical for 1/8 nitro. The L4 ran awesome!!!I had so much power it was scary, but it was very easy to drive! The fuel milage was very good!Thank you Triton for an amazing engine!

I too was at the Plex, I swapped in my L5 for this race due to the short run ups etc never lacked power anywhere as usual with my Tritons... Put it in the Amain running 6th with a min left and flipped it in a bad spot combination of low fuel and upside down forever engine ended up dying... I did see a lot of Tritons on the track though
