Default 3 or 4 shoe clutch setup

What's up guys I'm going to run 1/8 nitro buggy for the first time. What is better to run the three shoe or four shoe clutch setup.ill be running the mbx7, with the novarossi p5 motor. Thanks.

I say run a 4 shoe, something like a buku, or m2c, or werks.

four shoe, for sure.........it's a more "modern" design and easier to tune because of it's "balanced" shoe/spring arrangement.......try the werks clutch......

I have a fioroni vario 3 shoe and finding shoes locally is impossible, online is hit and miss and expensive, I would stay away from them for that reason, its a great clutch though.

i've been using the REDS engine clutch, its a 3 shoe but same design as werks, jvd etc.

but its alot more smoother... but will snap when you want it too.. made in italy...

Im looking into trying the werks medium pro clutch.. Anybody have any experience with one of these?

Werks and Ascendancy, who are reportedly now defunct, are very much similar. Werks 4-shoe is good to go.

could not have said it better.....werks clutches and clutch parts are easy to get....amain hobbies is a great source..

for a hard core race buggy/truggy, the werks setup is great.....combine it with good (tko) clutch bearings and a hardened bell and you'e got a winning combo
