I do notice that the guys who run the 9901 on their P5 seems to have a "softer" engine, I don't know if it's the sound that is softer or the performance as well. I just know I cant stay competitive If im going to be running 6:00-7:00 tanks!

Thanks for the pipe suggestion, is that nvision the same as the werks as far as performance / mileage?

BTW, this is the pipe / header Im running now: http://www.alpha-rc.com/pdt_view.asp?sn=381

thanks for all the help so far!
nvision is the same yes

My p5 has slightly over a gallon and has finally started making good power. I'm getting 10 plus easy on a medium sized track. Still slightly rich on top. I'm also running the werks 2058 and a #6 plug.

At the end of the day the 2058 are excellent all around tuned pipes that work great on almost every engine...out of all the pipes on the market I would say the 2058 has the widest application range, almost all engines run awesome on the pipe and its only the rare exception that only run mediocre.....If a person were to have one single tuned pipe in their pit box the 2058 would be the one to have..I really can think of no other pipe that can run that good on that many engines.....

So the 2058 will give me 9+ min and good power (given that the engine is tuned properly, of course)? I think If I can consistently get 9 minute pit stops, I'll be a happy camper!

We run a 2058 on a stock P5 and it performs really well. It is in Cade's trucks and is a very good combo and sounds good too. Run times depend on the track conditions and his finger that day but usually 9 plus.

I have been running the ofna 086 pip on my p5 in truggy. Got 13.5m when I brought it in to fuel. Still had some fuel left! On indoor track . My kids p5 With the 2013 was doing 10m no problem in buggy last weekend on outdoor track lots of speed and big jumps. He still has about 1/4 thank after 10m.

Is it just the pipe and header that will make THAT MUCh of a difference?

If so, what combo would you recommend? I dont run truggy and wont be for a while, so only buggy for now. Any help is highly appreciated!

A few Q's,

Which restirctor?

Which fuel (Sidewinder was posted in a later/earlier post), the older pinkish or the newer Team Strike?

Clutch slipping at all? Could be a possible milage loss there.

Any or all of those plus anything else that had been mentioned so far could all play a part in a loss of milage.

Since I don't run a buggy any more, not sure how the power band might be, but I'd look at either a 2096 or 9901 for a pipe and then a 021 header (don't know if that header fits right in an Agama ride).

Since day one in stock trim my P5 has always got good milage. Started with a 2084/021 P&H and then went to the 2096/021 P&H and have never felt a reason to stray away from that setup. Of course I do run Truggy and it might be a little much in a buggy with the setup I run, not too sure on that.
