The Ninja B01 was a 'true' 5-port. The Arrow Plus II is just the 3-port with a couple relief ports below, more of a 3+2, which is minimal gain. The Ninja also had drilled crank, turbo cut crank, different timing, etc, than the Arrow Plus II.

With this said, how does this motor perform in truggy and how are guys liking this motor? I kno it's a vzb clone but I like to know guys experiences with it. For $200 I'm considering trying it

They r good engines when they r going. Typical OS. Easy tune, strong motor. But the cases r prone to cracking. In the engine thread you will read about it. I think I prefer the 3port over the plus version. Interestingly I never had a problem with cracking the crankcase until I moved to a buggy with a 3mm chassis. I was using a 4mm chassis before. Mine have not cracked along the seam but actually across the case under the rear bearing. Very very small. One is so small the motor still runs no problem. I have had 3 and they have now all cracked. All have about 15 litres on them.

I am doing an experiement right now... I am trying to jb weld the casing to seal it up. We will see how it goes.

Yes they are cheap but there is a plethora of cheap engines on the market at the moment and I think the alpha based ones are a bit better quality. In Asia we also have access to go engines, which some fast guys in Malaysia r having success with. They are cheap too.

Look around. I probably would not buy an arrow again. I actually have a new one on the shelf but not really interested in using it.

If you are looking for a budget engine, personally I'd recommend the Werks B2 over the Arrow, especially for truggy. There's zero reason the Arrow should cost more than a B2, which is higher quality IMO (i.e. - machined piston, etc).
