Default Novarossi P5 XLT

I'm planning on buying one soon, but i have some concerns about it. I'm planning on putting this engine in my Durango truggy, but I have had some people tell me that the P5 doesn't have enough power to move a truggy. Is this true? If it is I'm just gonna go with my second choice the Alpha A352 .23.

are you kidding me? the P5 XLT IS a high torque engine, high "grunt". it's made to push a truggy around. I have ran mine in both my 8T 2.0 and Agama buggy and it handles both just fine. I'll put it to you this way: I have no problems clearing the same jumps with my truggy that I clear with the buggy. Same engine, same clutch setup.

I have seen this engine push a truggy around with the best of them. It's fine for a truck.

I've used a P5 and I'm currently using the P5XLT. It has plenty of power to pull your truggy around any track. I've been racing since 98' and I've been through a lot of different engines and brands over the years. Novarossi, in my humble opinion, is the best money can buy when it comes to power, ease of tune, runtime, and longevity combined. Good enough for the World Champ!

The P5XLT is a great motor for truggy. If I were still running that class, this is the motor I'd be running again. I personally had an HES tuned one and I can't praise it enough.
I ran that motor for a little over 12 gallons and got over 10 minutes of run time on every track I race at.

Default Yep

The Houstons engine Service P5 is my favorite. It makes an already great engine even faster. no doubt.

P5XLT in my Truggy last year and a new one in there this year. P5XLT for the win. Great motor.

great motor. I've had a mod one and a stock one. I wouldn't recommend getting a mod version after having one, the stock is fine. Tons of power and not too bad on fuel. These are also a pretty easy engine to tune.

What restrictor and pipe should be used for a p5 in truggy? I have a 2084/41021 pipe combo with a 7mm restrictor.

8mm for brake in and then 7mm restrictor,

2084/021 will do ok, I have ran that setup. 2096/021 will be better over all vs. the 84/021 set up.
