you need antifreeze for aluminum ... 100% mix.. and you will be fine

It does if you spray it into the pipe till its full, same with the manifold.

With that said, both methods work. The crock pot seems to work a bit better, but if you are in a time crunch the over cleaner works pretty damn well as well.

For you guys using easy off oven cleaner and similar products, they have caustic soda as the main cleaning agent, which is not supposed to be used on aluminum. Although it would take quite a bit of time, eventually caustic soda will completely eat away aluminum. If you have lets say a shot glass full of oven cleaner and put a piece of aluminum wire the size of a servo wire in it, it will completely dissolve the wire in about 30 minutes. Just a heads up
