Default Need Help Starting engine

I just received a Buggy and Truggy that I bought. I'm having a hard time getting the engines to fire. They have compression, fuel, and fire. Could it be possible that the carb settings are so far out for my climate that it want fire. It only turns over never fires up. I would really appreciate in guidance. I'm in the learning stages of the nitro world.

Does it have a new glow plug? To check the one in it pull it out and stick it in your glow igniter and make sure its glows bright red.

probably not... climates just dont change that much.

since you are new to nitro, do you know if your plug/ lighter is hot/ new?

may just try leaning the main needle a little and try again

Are you getting fuel through the carbs? to prime fuel through to the motor hold your finger over the end of the pipe.

Are you turning the motors over the correct direction? they run anti clockwise.

I changed the Glow plug and and pulled the fuel line off of the carb and put my finger over the exhaust like when priming and it's getting fuel to the carb. I did put a few drops of fuel in the carb and it did sputter a little trying to crank.

If you:
-got fuel coming in the tube
-and you got it to fire when you put fuel in the carb directly

Then you must have a blockage in the carb nipple-banjo-thing (where the fuel tube attaches to the carburator) or high speed needle assembly.
That happens when an engine is sitting for a long time with fuel in the carb nipple there.
So that is preventing the fuel from flowing into the carb.

I changed plug and ignitor is charged, I'm leaning towards a fuel issue.

Just back flush the high end needle is what i would do. Figure out the factory setting to the main needle and remove it from the main needle body. Hold your.figure over the exhaust and fuel should rush out of the main needle. Works every time. If this is your first time then it would benefit you to have a friend over that could assist you in the tune up process.

Did you check that the ignitor is making the plug glow?

+1. Bad or old fuel often times, simply will not run. If you've stored the fuel with the lid off for any amount of time, the fuel's done.

The Ignitor is making the plug glow so I'm good there. I'm gonna flush the carb good and try that. The fuel has been stored properly, I can't remember the exact brand a friend picked me up 2 gallons when he went to a Rc show. It's 30% Heli fuel. I will post the brand when I get home. He said it's a very good fuel. As for a friend coming over I wish i had a buddy who could come over, but me and my son are trying to get something started in my area where there isn't any RC racing at all. So RCTech is my closest buddy right now lol. Thanks for the suggestion, that would make things alot easier.
