The 28-7 does have a killer bottom end, but where it really stands above the other 28's is in its top end....For a 28 it is just ridiculous...it revs easier then most .21's do..........Both the Picco 28 and the OS will match up well against the 28-7 in the low end, but as the engines enter into the upper midrange the 28-7 really starts to stand out from the other 2......and as they get into the top end the 28-7 is in a different class then the other 2...bottom end all 3 engines are pretty equal..... but as the RPMS climb the 3 start to show their differences..the Picco has the narrowest RPM range, the OS is in the middle and the Nova has the broadest range with the highest peak HP and peak RPM.........the Nova has an extremely long rod, ( 2 mm longer then the other 2 )which gives it a great rod/stroke ratio which allows it to rev out very easily for a 28...

in a 120' truggy drag the .25's will not match the 28's.....A Picco 28, OS 28 and Nova 28 are all going to battle well against each other in such a short distance.....car setup and gearing will play a big role.... I would run the smallest bell and the largest spur possible.....run sticky tires and try to make use of the Nova's full RPM range......
Is the Novarossi 28-7t still the most powerful engine for 1/8th scale??

I have a CRE Nova .28 7 port. It was one hell of an engine till I had a runaway that ruined it. It was one hell of a fast engine but, my LRP .30x has more bottom end. If your drag racing short distances then your going to want torque. For $160/$170 you can buy a .30x from Tower or Amain.
