Default werks b6..rebuildable?

Ok so I picked up a used b6 standard for $50. Was Todd its got 1gal on a new pinch and that its having idle problems. When it gets here I will go over it and pray it just needs to be sealed. If that's not the case are rebuild kits available?I haven't been able to find anything on line and am waiting to hear back from Werks racing about it.
Thanks!

Just take a look at A-main Hobbies under engine parts. They have everything in stock as far as parts are concerned.

Hate to burst your bubble but its not going to be cheap to rebuild and could cost as much as a new mill

Hopefully it's not a cracked case and just a tuning issue. Being already into it for 50 plus the price to rebuild you will more than likely be over the cost of a new one.

Good luck

Befor you go and spend money, seal it up and try to get it to run correctly. Then swap parts from a known good motor befor you go and by something you dont need. Good luck

Was the rod changed when it was resized? Best case scenario is it just needs some TLC, worst case everything is showing wear and you start throwing money at it because you can't diagnose one problem.

EDIT: I just looked on A Main... wrist pin is $18? Good god, is that price right?

The wrist pins are gun drilled and hardened. Have you ever heard if anyone with one of our engines needing to replace one??? I've rebuilt an engine 5 times and never needed to replace the wrist pin. An OS carb cost $150, never hear of anyone complaining about that because you never need to replace it.

Could have been as simple as a leaky fuel system or exhaust pressure on the persons ride you bought it from. Also possibly a bad pinch or not broken in very well on the new pinch. For $50 bucks it's well worth sealing and testing with a good tank and fuel tubing, or if the compression is gone it is still not a waste to have it pinched again.

Lucky 7 is the easiest sealant I have ever used, no taking the motor down just apply on all the seams. Your local hobby shop should have some sealant either in the tube or if your lucky ;-) Lucky 7.
