Drilled a little through block while removing stripped backplate screw, fixable?
Not as bad as it sounds, pictures will speek for themselves:
I'm thinking I can just put silicone sealant around the back plate and have a perfect seal?
BTW: Not rust on the crank, thats gas :P

No big deal...silicone like you said and it will be fine.
