Default help please engines over heating

help needed please
iv got a 1/16 scale himoto 4x4 nito truk
with a team infinity 05 engine
car was bought from ebay but he said it wasent broken in
so iv put about 8 tanks of new 16 percent nitro fuel through it
then the engine stated overheating so mutch that the head was smokeing
when i took it to a shop i found out also id burnd out the clutch
now i have new clutch shoes and asembly but dont want to put them on and same thing happening again
i need to know why its over heating
at momant both needles r set at 3 turns out
iv tried the engine with out the clutch after about 2 minits of high revs the head is smokeing hot again
please help
modle shop is 150 km away to far to go again

Never, never run a motor without a clutch. No load on a motor is very bad. I don't know anything about your motor or truck but try opening up your HSN a full turn and see if that helps. While breaking in you want to keep the motor in the 190* F to 220* F range. REmember these are air cooled motors, they need to be moving to help cool the engine.

also it sounds like your idle is way to high if you are buring out your clutch. Where you driving it or just sitting it on the ground up against something not letting it move? OR holding the breaks on while it was high idle?

it was runnin fine i put about 6 tanks(small tank as its a 1/16th car) throught it
then it started over heating but was still runnin/wheels spinin
took it to the shop to get it set up and found out the clutch had gone there was nothin left of the plastik shoes and the spring was ground into the clutch shoe cover
so no runing it with out a clutch?
