Removing an engine

Removing an engine
When your working on your car and you need to remove the engine, do you remove the engine from the mount or remove the engine with the mount from the chassis?
I find removing the engine from the mount to be less of a hassle since I don't have to fool with the mesh as much, but I find I have to remove the cooling head in order to get to the mount screws. Is there an easier way to get it off the mount without removing the head? I feel with the head in I have to go In at angle with my bit and I'm concerned about stripping a screw (something I apparently accel at). Am I missing something?
Thanks

Depending on what car you have, you can buy a 3-piece mount that makes it easy to remove. Or, buy a good 2.5mm ball-end driver. This way you can torque the mount screws at an angle.

I think it's not good practice to remove the engine from the mounts, and here is why. Ball drivers strip easily and even with a regular hex driver you can't get those tight enough. I bolt the engine on the mount before I put the pipe on and before I mount it so you can use an L wrench to get it tight enough.

I drove that car and have never token the head off to lose the engine from the mounts.. an Ultimate Racing Driver is all I used... Made it tight enough too, never had a screw coming lose..
