Default Front bearing removal/B6

Will sticking a crankcase in the freezer for a while loosen up a stubborn front bearing for removal?

I went off and used the wrong collet I guess. My flywheel was seated against my front bearing firmly enough that the seal stuck to the flywheel, in turn, making the seal break loose and fill my nice semi-new B6 with dirt. It left light scarring but, hasn't hurt anything so far. I'm sure I'll lose many gallons of life because of this minor mistake.

Nevermind, got it. For those who have never tried to take out a stubborn front bearing...
Stick the crankcase in the freezer for about 15 minutes. Then simply heat the crankcase around not on the bearing with a hair dryer or heat gun and knock it right out.

You could also get yourself a hudy bearing puller, best money I've ever spent. Well worth the money.
