Changing the color of the engine head

i am looking to change the color of the cooling head and i was wondering if anyone has done this and if it will affect the engine in anyway.

It has to be stripped and re-anodized..you cant just paint it, as that would not allow the heat to dissipate like it should. I have never done it, but I know you cant just sand it and paint it

Or you could find a shop that does machin work and have them make you a new head. Supralative has done that in the past and had a few differnt anodizing colors done to change with his mood...
