No, there have been US made motors for a few decades. K&B. They just haven't made a serious car motor since the 80s (they have won worlds before) but they are still around.

Have less than a gallon on my full mod Hellfire.Performance is great.Powerful and buttery smooth.Best engine I ever ran to date. Its the only EB Mods engine I ever ran so I am thinking its the mod work that gives it the magic.I hope it holds up but I didn't spend $500.00 on it either, mabey half so if it lasts half as long that works for me.
Thanks Ed
Made in USA engine,YES I will buy one to support the greatest country in the world.

I run two different engines in my buggies... The cool kids $500 Speed 21XZ-B w/ $150 world champ edition O.S. 2050 pipe, and my EB/JS.Tx-521R Full-Mod (recently rebuilt) w/Dynamite 086HS pipe.

Nothing is more exciting than the way the JS revs and the insane sound it makes that turns heads at tracks. Sure it's not as easily tunable as other engines I've owned, but for a race engine, it screams and it's been pretty reliable.

I respect what Ed has done with it, and the fact they're going for some $250 at retailers now just boggles my mind for the amount of motor it is... Way more exciting than the O.S. Speed. Even if there were a couple bad ones in the mix.

Whatever Ed pursues next, I'll definitely be in line for it. Until then, I'll still be rockin' the JS.

I have been running for Ed for a few years now. I've had a .24 Extech, a Go, and 2 JS's (one in buggy and one in truggy) all were full mods. I have nothing bad to say about any of his engines. They all ran like Swiss clocks with plenty of run time and power. If I had to pick a favorite it would probably be the Go. Although I think that engine had a little too much power for a buggy lol.

Good luck Ed with the new engine. I know I can't wait for them to be done so I can get one from ya.

US made engines would be awesome, especially if they are 100% american made materials etc.

Yea, just another one of those pipe dreams from the guy that's famous
for walking away from things. Even if the engines ever came to be,
you'd have to buy three of them at a time. That way you would have
some extra parts if you needed any six months later. I wouldn't rely
on an engine if I couldn't rely on it's builder. After all, a man is only
as good as word and I think that would also reflect any products
he has to offer. But that's just my opinion, to each their own.

do you ever say anything positive? Unless you really know what's going on with the situation, you should probably keep your mouth shut... instead of continually spouting verbal diarrhea.

There's another thread that Ed started and the amain thing was discussed there. His phone number doesn't work either. It is some other companies number now...
