If they are anodized you can remove the coating using "greased lightning" then polish the pipe with "Mothers mag and aluminum" polish. Just did this to all my purple/blue parts on my Savage

best way is to get a crock pot, put anti freeze in it and let sit for 8+ hours on low then wipe off and it will be like new, inside and out

if you use a crock pot for 8+ hours you might just as well by a new pipe. the 3 major applinces in you house that draw a crap ton of juice is...water pump, coffee pot, crock pot, dryer, they all draw about the same voltage. buying a new pipe may be cheaper

it would have to be really really bad for the crockpot, and if i my wife wouldn't kill me i might consider it, but then again, i don't know if i could cook food in something that has had antifreeze in it all day. My pipes don't get that bad, i just want to keep them in good shape so it doesn't get that bad

yeah you never re-use it... it cleans the inside which it the biggest thing, the outside looks like new, better than polishing it yourself... i cleaned some old pipes and it gave more power, chunks of gunk came out of the pipes... it doesnt enough power to justify buying a new pipe, it wont even make the power bill go up
