I have it. I like it. After all is said and done, get a MadBeast. Stronger, and build MUCH better. Get it WITHOUT electronics. The cheapy TX/RX combo went out before anything else. The chassis and suspension is pretty durable, but there's NOT enough rigidity between the front and rear towers. The bottom chassis plate WILL bow. There are braces for the front and rear, but it will still bow. I recently modded mine to where its pretty much solid and wont bow anymore. As far as the engine, its not bad at all. The .28 it comes with is pretty stout and impressive. I've also changed the electronics, I went with Savox servos and a TQ 2.4 TX/RX combo. Its not bad at all.

Im wanting to sell mine, as well as my XTM Mammoth so I can get the MadBeast tho. Its the same as the Savage XL, they are almost 100% interchangable. But if ur set on the MadStorm, I dont think you will regret it, but there's a couple things I wish were improved upon. If You'd like I can take pics of mine and what I did to make it more stable and solid so the chassis stays straight and doesnt bow.

Replaced a pair of wheels/tires. When the RX went out, it went full throttle and landed on the lid. Upon doing so both rear tires broke the glue, so I reglued, but bought a new pair anyway, just in case. When I got em in, the tires were diff, so I put em on the rear. I like this pattern. Same as MadBeast tires, I think. Also put clip retainers in the body, and I have a MadWarrior wing setup, including mount, but I put it thru the body.

Here's what I did for bracing. 1/4" all thread with a rod coupling nut in the middle of them. Went thru the openings that were there already, just used larger washers so it wouldnt slip thru. I have it set to where I think its about as straight as I can get the bottom plate. The all thread rod does still bow a bit, but it still offers tension for keeping things in line.

Home Depot. lol. Cheap as hell too. Also bought close to 12 feet of aluminum flat bar in 3 difft widths, in case I get an itch to fab something silly. I'd like to make a roll cage, similar to whats on my mammoth.

Here's a shot of my mammoth without the body...
