Team Orion... you can get the current WC edition engine with the pipe for 399 which is just a smidge over what you will pay for a low end engine.

get an OS speed .21
or OS vspec.

Fact is everyone loves what they run, its just life, the natural bias oppinion.

I wouldn't trade my odonnells for a speed if someone wanted to.

well would have to say nowdays most of the motors out and really good !!
now, you have to ask will you be racing?
or just having fun maybe some racing from time to time?
many will go with .28 motors.....and that is ok, they have an abundant amount of low-end grunt, but usually not too good in the Mileage department, on "Average" I know-I know some say yea but i get X-Amount of minutes on a tank....
but again an Average you'll get about 6 to 7 minutes
some .21's on "Average" about 9 sometimes 10 minutes
downside to some .21's they dont have the Bottom-end grunt.
that on some motors now has changed, with motors being so much better than just 2 years ago!!
you'll find a bunch of threads on which is better.....
but for the most part, if you go .28 anyone of them is Great !!
.21's a little more tricky......
but for ourselves "Personaly" out of the 20 or so .21's we tried
2 keep poping up in our 2 for under $250.00
and can run with any of the supper-hot rodded ones.
the AXIAL .21RR-1
and the Werks B5
both under $250.00 both have the low end grunt
(will need to play with your Individual Clutch settings)

and both have Exceptional runtimes !! easily to obtain 10 minutes
but i have to give the Axial .21RR-1 a tad advantage here
were getting almost 11+ on ours in a Truggy,(Losi 8T-2.0 Series)

in the $250.00 and UP range
the Novarossi .21-4 (or 21+4 as many call it)
is really good !! but will need the Nova 9901 pipe with the 41020 or the 41021 Header for a little more lowend to make this motor really Shine.
which really puts this one at around $400.00 pipe and motor......
other good motors for truggy in the 250.00+ range
the O.S. .21XZ-b V-spec can still find for around $268.00 if you shop around.
and the Reedy 121VR-ST .21
and of corse the novarossi Torro-Nero but there Discontinued and hard to find.....

but out of those the Nova .21-4 is one of the "Better ones"
although the AXIAL .21RR and the Werks B5 felt "Identical" to the Nova 21-4
but both were under the 250.00 price.....

have to be honest we have not tried the Ninja "Yet" it is next on the list....we just been mostly seeing what we could find out of the 20 motors we "Tried" "Under $250.00" that feel the same as the and can run with the 300.00 and up motors........

Well when I had my truggy which was a Jammin w/BCE chassis with spiral cut gears I used the 528XR and it was so smokin fast. The only problem I had was it has so much bottom end I had to gear it 16/48 or 46 I can't remember. Once I did that it killed some of the bottom and the top was rippin. It was a handful to drive pretty sure it would be hard to find one!
