It's actually a .26. On a LST2 I loved the RDLogics Dual Stinger pipe with the Mach 427. The only thing...it was freaking loud!

Im not sure about modding them and i think its a .23 or .26 but not for certain, However my dad ran one with his first truggy and those motors are the best RTR motor out there. He ran it on a JP-3 pipe and was getting at least 7-9min run time with plenty of power. It never flamed idled good and tuning was easy!!

I love the Mach 427 engines, given their low price.

I ran mine in truggy with a stock RTR Losi pipe, and power-wise it was great. I also got ten-minute run-times on the local track, which is small.. At the time I was racing it, I was burning about as much fuel as the VSPEC guys..(and not lagging all that much..) I had a Fioroni slider, and I think that held me back more than anything else.. A better clutch would have given me more snap..

With the stock Losi pipe it sounds a bit clunky, but again, it was plenty fast, DEAD easy to tune and reliable - and yeah, run-time was good too.

Ran an OS A5 with SW %25..

It's a .26 btw.

Yeah it is a .26 engine. If you want really good run time match it with a losi re-11 exhaust and if you want explosive performance use the re-10. Really good engine though. I race with a losi 454 that was AB modified. If you want to get it modded just contact Adam from ABmods. He has a thread in this engine section too.

The Losi Engines are another good example of SH Engines Quality. The Losi 350, 427, and 454 are all manufactured by SH, as well as most Dynamite, LRP, and XTM engines. I run the SH PT28XM1-P8 in my truggy which is the same as the LRP Spec 3. It's a bit overkill, but when I want power, it's there. It works well with the SH 2075, or 3033 pipe.

When I ran a 427, I liked the Jammin JP2. was a good power increase over stock.
also have had good luck with a JP1

I would agree. I ran a JP-2 on my 427 and felt like that was a great pipe for it. Started with a 007 but it did not allow the engine to have much top end. The JP-2 really woke the 427 up in Truggy.

I also ran the same combo in my Losi Latemodel. Was very fast there as well.

A local racing friend of mine made the A at the OS/Futaba Race this past season running a 427 in Intermediate Truggy. If tuned right this engine can compete and it tunes really well I think.
