Me too. in fact, i'd be willing to front some motors for the cause, assuming the test was performed properly.

Default Cosmo fuel.

What about the fuel A. Hara uses: Cosmo?

If you remember the start of the A-main at the WC, the commentators talked about his engine was tuned too rich due to the ammount of smoke from the exhaust. His mechanic knows what he is doing, so I doubted that.

Looking at Hara´s WC setup http://www.buggies.it/portal/archives/2121
he runs Cosmo 25%. I can't find the 25% fuel on the website http://www.cosmo-rc.com/index.php/archives/693 but they have much more oil in their fuel compared to any other pro blends. Does oil more reduce the runtime - not for Hara (if he used that ammount of oil). Didn't he had fewest pitstops in the A-main?

The amount of smoke does not always tell the amount of oil.... Castor oils do smoke more than synthetic and even then the one does smoke more than the other.

back on the topic, I have been into Nitro RC for 12 years now, although I'm very upset that I just recently started racing cause I would be good by now. Over those 12 years I have used 6 different fuel brands and other than Traxxas and one that shall not be named I was very happy with all of them. I stopped using sidewinder when they had that scare about a year ago and switched to Byrons which I was never disappointed in. My recent switch to my new fuel was not because they offered me a sponsorship or any kind of deal. I own a hobby shop and I can get Byrons for less money than just about anything. I switched fuels because 2 of the engines I run are not very fuel efficient and I was looking for that extra 30-45 seconds per tank while still having the protection of Byrons and the steady Idle and crisp response. So far I am very happy but its to soon to make a fair comparison. I dont know about the whole this fuel is better than that fuel and 5 minutes more run times and 40 degree cooler temps and lots of other non-sense that we all know is pure nonsense, but I do know that good fuel is good fuel and trust me when I say there is more than one company ( or person ) that makes good fuel.
