Hey Ron or anyone that can help me on this. I have the losi 8ight 2.0 and i got the Werks B6/B5 and also the Werks 34mm Light pro Clutch. What i would like to know is, i install the pro Clutch to the B6 engine in this order

1. losi collet
2. Werks pro clutch set up
3. werks clutch nut
4. ballbearing
5. losi 13t clutch bell
6. ballbearing
7. Losi washer & screw to lock clutch bell

Does the gap between the flywheel & clutch bell suppose to look like that?

I am pretty sure you are not supposed to use the Losi collet. Use the one that came with pro clutch.

I try it with the shims and it was sticking out more. I also try the Werks collet and it did the samething.

Guss, pull the bearing out and see if the bell sits flush against the face of the flyhweel (as in completely covering the shoes). If so then there are two things that you can do, 1 if you have any shims sitting on top or the flywheel nut between that and the inner bearing then remove them. If not then just judging by your picture (but it is a little hard to see) it looks like there is quite a bit of space between the flywheel and the engine which means that you can move the flyhweel back. Just use a thinner collet if you have one laying around or just remove a mm or so off of it (on the wide end (bottom)) and try it.

Regards,

Ron

How will moving the flywheel back make the clutch bell closer to the flywheel? I think he wants the clutch bell to be all the way back. The bell may not work with that clutch. If your shoes are covered all the way by the bell and it lines up with the spur gear, you should be good.

Ron i put the losi collet which is smaller then the one the engine comes with and it push the flywheel more in, but that didnt fix the clutch bell problem.

Yes i want the clutch bell to cover the shoes. I try the Losi clutch bell without the ballbearing in it and sat it flush to the flywheel and it still has the gap. I think the losi flywheels doesnt work for this clutch set up.

How much of the shoes are showing? Are you sure it isn't the flywheel you see?

Hello Ron just curious if HRP has any of these on order? I have a few of each as well as a couple 2013 and 2057 pipes on backorder with them. They need to hurry as I have guys wanting to tear into these B5 and B6 engines.

Thanks in advance.

Guss, hellsavage is correct. I just took another look at the picture and actually what you are seeing is not the shoes but rather the little raised portion of the flywheel that sits under the shoes. So everything is actually ok. Please do as he advises and just install our collet, shim for the correct amount of end play on the bearing and you should be good to go!

Regards,

Ron

Hey hlpresseley, HRP has put in a small opening order for a few clutches but they are all sku'd up there. Great Planes has just set them up in their system also now so if you have an account with them you can put an order in with them too!

Regards,

Ron
